The KM-15 ST is a practical semi-automatic plant for businesses that need more production control than a manual setup but are not yet ready for a large fully automatic line. With the correct mold, it can manufacture pavers, hollow blocks, solid blocks, kerbstones and related concrete products.

This model is often attractive to growing manufacturers because the investment can be planned in stages. The main machine, mixer and conveyors can form the starting production unit, while batching, silo and advanced pallet handling can be added according to sales growth and site requirements.

Production pallet planning

A reference KM-15 ST production pallet is approximately 26 x 30 inches with a thickness around 28 mm, subject to the confirmed machine configuration. Pallet quality is critical. It must remain flat, transfer vibration correctly and support green products during movement and initial curing.

Calculate the pallet quantity from the actual production cycle and curing method. Too few pallets create waiting time, while poorly reinforced pallets can bend, damage the surface of products and shorten bearing life through unstable vibration.

Power requirement

Electrical planning should follow the confirmed motor schedule. A reference installation may require a transformer around 50 kVA and a generator around 100 kVA, but these figures can change with mixers, conveyors and auxiliary equipment. Always obtain the final connected-load calculation and allow an appropriate starting-current margin.

The electrical scope should confirm:

      Three-phase supply voltage and frequency

      Main incomer and cable size

      Motor protection and overload settings

      Earthing arrangement

      Emergency-stop points

      Generator or transformer compatibility

      Manual and automatic control functions

Mold selection and market planning

The best first mold is usually the product with confirmed local demand. A common 100 x 200 mm paver may offer broad market use, while hollow blocks or kerbstones may be more suitable for a contractor-led market. Extra molds should be priced separately and matched to the machine’s pallet and tamper arrangement.

Before ordering, survey local selling prices, raw-material availability, product specifications and competitors. Estimate contribution per square foot or per piece after including cement, aggregates, pigment, electricity, labor, pallets, breakage, curing, loading, transport and sales commission.

Layout for efficient movement

Keep raw-material loading on one side and finished-product handling on another wherever possible. The mixer should discharge smoothly toward the machine without requiring workers to carry concrete manually over long distances. Allow safe access around the hydraulic unit, vibration motors, molds and panel for maintenance.

The curing area must be level and protected from rapid moisture loss. Good curing can have a larger effect on final strength than a small change in press settings. Define a written curing method for hot, dry, cold or windy conditions.

Installation and training

The machine foundation and pit must follow the model-specific drawing. Structural dimensions should be checked on site before concrete is poured. Installation, commissioning and operator training should cover machine alignment, lubrication, mold setup, vibration settings, safe cleaning and daily inspection.

Reference installation costs, warranties and delivery periods can change over time and by location, so they should appear in the current quotation. Buyers can review the KM-15 series information and the full product range before requesting a proposal.
