Choose flat, durable wooden production pallets by size, thickness, wood, GI reinforcement and rod design for paver and block machines.
Production pallets carry freshly molded pavers or blocks through vibration, transfer and early curing. They are sometimes treated as a minor accessory, but pallet flatness and stiffness directly affect product height, surface condition and machine reliability.
A pallet that bends under vibration can create uneven
compaction. A rough or damaged surface can mark the underside of pavers.
Incorrect thickness can disturb machine settings and conveyor transfer.
Size
must match the machine
Confirm length, width and finished thickness from the approved
machine specification. Reference sizes used in different projects include 26 x
30 inches, 30 x 42 inches and larger formats, but these sizes are not
interchangeable.
Measure:
•
Overall length and width
•
Finished thickness after planing and
reinforcement
•
Edge and corner condition
•
Tolerance for flatness
•
Position of rods, channels or GI sheet
•
Required load and product pattern
Wood
selection
Dasi Kikar is one locally used wood for heavy production
pallets. Wood should be properly seasoned to reduce later warping and
shrinkage. Moist boards can change dimension after entering a hot factory or
curing environment.
Board selection should avoid major cracks, loose knots and
weak joints. Grain direction and construction method should resist repeated
vibration.
Reinforcement
Depending on pallet size and duty, GI sheet channels, side
channels or through-rods with nuts can strengthen the assembly. Example
specifications may use 20, 22 or 24-gauge GI sheet, while rod diameter and
quantity depend on the design.
Reinforcement must sit securely without creating raised
points that interfere with conveyors or the machine. Nuts should be locked and
inspected because vibration can loosen fasteners.
Pallet
quantity
The required quantity depends on production rate and how
long products remain on pallets. Calculate:
Pallets required = pallets produced per hour x hours held
before return + operating buffer
If products remain on pallets through a longer curing stage,
the quantity can be substantial. An automatic machine with too few pallets will
stop even though the press itself has capacity.
Handling
and storage
Move pallets on correctly spaced rollers or conveyors. Do
not throw empty pallets into a stack. Store them flat and protected from
standing water or direct soil contact. Rotate pallet use so the same small
group is not overworked.
A stocker system needs consistent pallet
dimensions. Warped pallets can trigger sensor errors or jam lifting guides.
Inspection
and replacement
Check flatness, surface damage, loose rods, sharp edges,
delamination and exposed fasteners. Repair only when the pallet can be restored
to the required tolerance. A pallet that repeatedly causes product defects is
more expensive than replacement.
When requesting a quotation, provide the machine model,
exact size, thickness, wood type, GI gauge, rod specification, quantity and
delivery location. KM MUGHAL 3 STAR can coordinate pallets with the complete
plant and handling system.
