The KM-12 manual plant is intended for entrepreneurs and
contractors who want to enter concrete-product manufacturing with a controlled
investment. It can be configured with different molds for pavers, blocks and
kerbstones, while manual operation keeps the system simpler than a
high-automation line.
Manual does not mean that quality should be manual or
inconsistent. Product strength still depends on aggregate grading, cement
content, water control, compaction, dimensional accuracy and curing. A
disciplined small plant can build a strong local reputation when production
procedures are followed every day.
Suitable
business cases
The KM-12 can suit a start-up supplying a local
neighborhood, a contractor producing for its own projects, or an existing
precast business adding another product. It is also useful where electrical
capacity or capital is limited but labor and market access are available.
Start with one or two products that have confirmed demand.
Common options include rectangular pavers, interlocking pavers, hollow blocks,
solid blocks and kerbstones. Review the available
design range and obtain the exact mold dimensions in writing.
Foundation
and pit planning
A typical KM-12 foundation concept may use a pit
approximately 6 feet by 10 feet, with a depth around 2.5 to 3 feet below
natural surface level. Wall thicknesses and clear openings depend on the
approved installation drawing. Do not construct the foundation from a verbal
description alone.
Before civil work:
•
Confirm the latest machine foundation drawing
•
Check soil condition and drainage
•
Verify pit depth against finished floor level
•
Keep embedded plates and openings accurately
positioned
•
Provide safe access for cleaning and maintenance
•
Have structural work reviewed by a qualified
site engineer
Concept dimensions are not a certified structural design.
Site soil, reinforcement and concrete grade must be approved locally.
Essential
supporting equipment
A start-up line needs an appropriate mixer, mold, pallets
and a method for moving green products. Depending on the layout, conveyors can
reduce manual carrying and keep the feed consistent. A small aggregate storage
area with clear separation of sand and stone helps operators maintain the mix.
Provide clean water with a repeatable measurement method.
“Adding water by eye” is one of the main causes of changing strength, surface
texture and demolding behavior.
Production
and costing
Calculate cost per piece using actual material weights.
Include cement, sand, crush, pigment, electricity, labor, lubricant, mold wear,
pallet replacement, curing, loading, transport, breakage and overhead. Then
compare against the local selling price and realistic monthly volume.
The aim should not be the lowest-cost mix; it should be the
lowest controlled cost that meets the required strength, appearance and
dimensional standard. Products that break during transport create a higher real
cost than using a properly designed mix.
Growth
path
As orders increase, the business can add more pallets,
molds, conveyors, improved mixing and aggregate weighing. A future upgrade
should be planned into the layout so that new equipment does not require
rebuilding the entire production area.
The KM-12 manual plant page provides a reference
point. Request a proposal based on your product, daily target and site so the
machine, mold and support equipment are correctly matched.
