Automatic and semi-automatic plants
Blogger Body - copy from here
An automatic paver tile making machine can increase
production consistency, but the word “automatic” does not describe one fixed
specification. Two plants may both be called automatic while having different
material feeding, weighing, mixing, face-mix, pallet handling and stacking
arrangements. A buyer should compare the complete workflow rather than only the
main press.
The first step is to define the product range. Interlocking
pavers, rectangular tiles, heavy-duty industrial pavers and kerbstones can
require different molds, concrete volumes, pallet areas and cycle times.
Product thickness also affects pieces per pallet and total pieces per shift.
Start
with demand, not the machine name
Estimate how many square feet or pieces can realistically be
sold each month. Then calculate the daily output needed after allowing for
changeovers, cleaning, maintenance, rejected pieces and market seasonality. The
selected plant should have enough capacity for growth without placing
unnecessary pressure on working capital.
A serious capacity estimate should identify:
•
Product dimensions and thickness
•
Cavities or pieces produced in one mold cycle
•
Practical cycle time under the proposed mix
•
Working hours per shift
•
Planned stoppage and mold-change allowance
•
Number of pallets available
•
Curing and storage space
•
Dispatch capacity and customer demand
Examine
the complete material flow
Automatic production begins before concrete reaches the
mold. Aggregate grading, cement dosage, water control and mixing uniformity
affect strength, surface texture and color. For a higher-output line, consider
aggregate hoppers with weighing, a cement silo with screw conveyor, an
appropriate mixer and controlled discharge to the machine.
If color pavers are required, ask whether the plant includes
a separate face-mix system. A dedicated pigment mixer and face-mix loader can
help keep the top layer controlled while the base concrete provides structural
mass. The plant layout should prevent unnecessary crossing of wheel loaders,
pallets and finished products.
Check
vibration, hydraulics and controls
Compaction quality depends on the coordinated action of
vibration, hydraulic pressure, mold filling and concrete consistency. More
motor power alone does not guarantee a better paver. Ask how vibration
frequency is controlled, how the mold and tamper are aligned, how hydraulic pressure
is monitored and how the operator changes settings for different products.
PLC and HMI controls can improve repeatability when they are
correctly programmed and supported. Confirm the brands used for PLC, drives,
contactors, sensors and protection devices. Also confirm whether the panel
allows manual operation for setup and maintenance in addition to automatic
cycles.
Pallets,
molds and curing are part of capacity
Production can stop even when the machine is running
correctly if too few pallets are available. Pallet size, thickness, wood
quality, reinforcement and surface condition influence vibration transfer and
product quality. The number of pallets should match the planned shift output
and curing cycle.
Molds must be manufactured for the exact machine and product
requirement. Discuss wear surfaces, dimensional tolerance, tamper clearance,
replaceable parts and the method for changing molds. A low-cost mold that
produces inconsistent dimensions creates long-term losses through breakage and
customer complaints.
Compare
after-sales support and customization
Installation, commissioning, operator training, spare-parts
availability and technical response are important for production continuity.
Local manufacturing also makes it easier to customize conveyors, hopper
capacities, mold sizes, pallet systems and factory layout.
The KM MUGHAL 3 STAR product range includes manual
through automatic options and supporting machinery. Buyers considering a
higher-output system can also review the KM-28
DT automatic plant as a starting point for technical discussion.
Ask
for a written scope
The quotation should clearly separate the main machine,
mixers, conveyors, batching system, silo, molds, pallets, electrical panel,
compressor, installation, civil work, transport, taxes, warranty and delivery
time. This prevents a low headline price from hiding missing equipment.
